In the game for overall eleventh spot the Colombians entered not very well. The best scorer of Team GB scored already in 1st minute. The British clearly performed better hockey abilities than their opponent and two minutes later added second goal. Hutchinson came through the defence and succeed with the shot above Guerrero´s glove. The British were playing without worries and France with Cross in 8th minute increased a lead to score 4:0.

"It was really tough tournament and in addition we did not converted out opportunities. We must leave home and train more to improve our game for next championship," said the Colombian goalie Andreas Cuervo.

Team Colombia called for time out and goal feast was stopped. Fierro even appeared in the big opportunity but Bradfield saved perfectly. In the end of half the favorite scored once again. Hutchinson beat the goalie from rebound.

In the second half Team GB slowed down and the Colombians could improve their reputation. Murillo gained enough space and with loop tricked Bradfield. On the both sides several chances were seen but the goalies and posts did not let the puck cross the goal line. Only Finney four minutes before the end edited the score to 6:1.

Comments

Jason Coles (Team GB coach): I am excited from this game. Last three games we played very well, we were doing everything right. I am happy. We came here to try to win promotion then we wanted to make sure we come back home with the medal.

Stephane Marcoux (Team Colombia coach): I think that we have good team but the players have to be concetrated from the first day. When they are not so it is very difficult. It happened to us and our chances reduced each day. We will prepare to next championship and we will be looking forward for it.
