Report

The Spanish players entered to the game with very offensive style and after several good chances they scored in the power play. From the left circle Idelfonso Olmedo stroke precisely top right corner. After four minutes Ramon Marty added second goal and it seemed that Team Spain controled the game.

But the Spaniard were slept by opponent´s performance and Team Great Britain scored from the unique rush. Danny Hutchinson appeared uncovered in front of the goal and decreased the difference. Closely before the end of first half the British even tie the game thanks to Nathan Finney.

The excited British team manage well enter to the 2nd half and completed turnover. Steve Cross with low shot netted third goal. But in the stunning finish Fernando Serrano led the game to the overtime.

The decision was made in 3rd minute by Jean Paul Bejarano who with individual effort sent his team to the World Cup Finals. The British will play for third spot.

"It was a tough game for us," described the autor of golden goal Bejarano. "Team Britan is not so bad we expected we are on the higher level. It was not the same as against the Czechs, there we did not attack at all. We were surprised by the difficult of this game. Maybe it was so hard beacuse of morning time. But I think that we will win in the finals. We relegated to B division and here it is easy."

Comments

Sylvain Humeau (Team Spain coach): We did not expect so tough game. We begun well když but when they tied the game we lost the way. But when we scored to 3:3 then I knew that we would win. Now we will wait which team will play against us in the finals.

Jason Coles (Team GB coach): We allowed the goal in the last minute and then we lost in the overtime – it is cruel defeat for us.
