Report
The game began with British power play. Shelton took a shot but it missed for few centimetres and Mexican could kill their power play. Team Great Britain was still more active but paradoxically the opponent scored as the 1st thanks to Brian Baxter. From this moment British players slowed down and Mexicans were more active.
The advatange of power play got also Mexicans and they were very dangerous. Martinez didn´t have so much place but he could get to a rebound but the puck didn´t end into British net. Unconverted opportunity didn´t bother Mexicans for long because after few moments Jose Martinez put his stick into Baxter´s shot and British goalie had no chance to save.
In the 2nd half British players scored in their power play – Paul Lane shot presice to the right corner of Guadarrama´s net. And after 3rd goal in British power play, the score was balanced 2:2.
But that wasn´t the end. 16 seconds after face-off the great British turnover was completed by Steven Cross. Players in blue-jerseys were very confident what demonstrated Hutchinson, who tricked Guadarrama but British forward didn´t score.
Conversely. The next episode was written on the opposite side of the rink where after Ramirez´s pass scored Brian Baxter. The same Mexican hero scored in 37th minute again and Team Mexico could celebrate their first victory in this tournament.

Gerardo Polanco (Team Mexico coach): I am very glad. We really enjoyed this game. We skated well, we were good with passes also with shots. We were from the beginning in advatange against the opponent. I am really happy that we managed that.
Simon Morris (Team Great Britain manager): We have definitely had better games in the tournament and we need to improve. We will talk about it. Our goal is still to win the group.
