The Czechs after relatively easy victory over Team Spain will play with powerful Team USA which has not lost in the tournament so far. But players of home team would like to stop its great journey and they want to advance to the final.

The world women´s in-line hockey championship is going to the end, the players have just played five games and only two games are planned. In addition Team Czech Republic will fight for the medal and today the semifinal game will determine what type of medal it will be. The energy of players are shrinking but their goal is clear – advance to semifinals. „Of course we feel the fatigue but thanks to our masseuse it is not so serious. We have huge motivation so we do not think about that,“ said Tereza Stastna, the best assistent of team.

Because of advance of Team America from the first place in the group, it would seem that the players from overseas will be a slight favorite of the semi-finals. But the host country doesn´t match themselves into the role of outsider. "Chances are equal, we have proved against Canada that we can play with anybody. A plus is our home environment. That´s our next player. We feel the support, "says Stastna. Her words is confirmed by another national team member Katerina Flachsova. " Every game at this tournament is completely different, from the beginning the level of games was not much, but now it has improved and we play better," he notes.

The excellent quarterfinal against Team Spain can add confidence to Czech girls. "It was really successful for us, but on the other hand, the previous game against Canada was a big disappointment. Not only that, we lost, but in addition we greatly complicated the way to the finals, " adds Flachsova, who has scored one goal in the duel against Team Canada.

The Czech national team really enjoys the home championship and they say that advance to the semi-finals can be considered as a decent success. So how does Katerina Flachsova see the fight for medals at the tournament in comparsion with her previous hockey career? "I wouldn´t like to compare in-line hockey with ice hockey. They are differents sports. But if we speak about in-line hockey, every step forward is for us very valuable. But we want more – to fight for gold, and there is missing a small step,“ Stastna ends up the interwiev.
